  • Name Carl Henrick Person
Born 16 Nov 1878  Halmstad, Halland, Sweden Find all individuals with events at this location
    • Date/location of birth are from World War I Draft Registration Card and further confirmed by the Montana marriage record - the marriage further confirms the town of his birth.
    Gender Male
    Arrival 1885 - 1905
The 1910 and 1920 census records indicate that he was a Swedish immigrant arriving in 1905. (Alternatively, the duplicate 1920 census (where he is found in Butte, Montana states that he arrived in 1885.) The 1930 census - which is thought to be the correct Carl Person indicates that he arrived in 1897.
The name "Carl Person" appears on a myriad of passenger lists and naturalization lists during this time period. At this time we don't have enough information to know which of these immigration records, if any, can be paired with our Carl Person.

POSSIBLE BUT NOT PROVEN - If this is the correct Carl Person then it seems that he was indexed twice in the 1920 census - once in Butte, Montana and once in Juab County, Utah:

    • Interestingly, on her tombstone she is listed as "Sarah Elsie Spencer." Bonnie Mortenson, granddaughter of Sarah and daughter of Mary Lodica Spencer stated that her mother never spoke of a Carl Person and had no information on him.
